Welcome to the Game Day section of the PLPA web site. Game Day is a segment that features players and how they prepare for games including what they do during the day of a game as a chronology. This segment will feature veteran Kaleb Toth of the Toronto Rock. Kaleb Toth's Game DayMy Game day routine changes from time to time depending on my teams out come and my performance. But here it is(roughly)for home games. 9:00 a.m.- wake up, get ready and leave to go to Golden Griddle for breakfast. 9:45 a.m. - arrive at Golden Griddle, order coffee(black) glass of water and a ham and cheese omelet with whole wheat toast. Read newspaper well waiting for food. 10:30-11:00 a.m. - leave restaurant and go for a light walk. 12:00 p.m. - arrive back at hotel, finish paper and watch T.V. 1:00 p.m. - eat some fruit that I picked up on walk. 1:30 p.m. - Pregame nap 3:30 p.m. - wake up, shower and leave to go to rink. 4-4:15 p.m. - stop at subway and order footlong turkey breast on brown. 4:30 p.m. - arrive at rink(first player there)put on under armour athletic apparel, eat sub and drink bottle of water. 5-5:30 p.m. - go for light jog, stretch,warm up stick and mentally focus for game. 5:30-6 p.m. - light warm up with team. 6:15-6:30 p.m. - go to dressing room, finish dressing, team meeting. 6:50-7:00 p.m. - team goes on floor for second warm up. 7:15 p.m. - go in to dressing room for finally game plan. 7:30 p.m. - national anthems, wait till end of both songs. Last or second last to leave for the net. Walk around net twice with helmet off. After cheer, tap the goalie and them hit cross par and post. Walk to the bench then but on helmet. Play game. After game-shower and go to post game party. |
