Game Day


Welcome to the Game Day section of the PLPA web site. Game Day is a segment that features players and how they prepare for games including what they do during the day of a game as a chronology.

This segment will feature Ryan Cousins of the Minnesota Swarm .


Ryan Cousins Game Day


8:30 a.m.
- I usually wake up around from a call from the local radio station for a quick interview to pump up the game for that night. I grab a quick bite to eat usually some cherios and a banana

9:00 a.m
- I gather the roommates together and jump in our truck to the Xcel energy Centre.

9:30 a.m.
- I put some tunes on in the dressing room, shoot the stuff with the boys, get my lites on(helmet and gloves).

10:00 a.m.
- Shoot around, try to get a have decent sweat on.

11:30 a.m.
- Head of to the local wateringhole (Tom Reids) for some lunch (rice, chicken, salad)

12:30 p.m
- We start our team video session at Tom Reids with the hope that our coach Adam Mueller can finally figure the remote control (no chance)

1:15 p.m.
- Video session ends, I usually head home to watch a little tube and get my threads ready for the game.

2:00 p.m.
- The team starts to look over scouting report of other team

3:00 p.m.
- It is nap time and hopefully I fall asleep

4:15 a.m.
- Wake up from nap, get some tunes on and jump into the shower, get dressed

4:45 p.m.
- I make my way down to the rink

5:15 p.m.
- Pre-game massage and adjustment

5:45 p.m.
- Do a little stretch and run around. Start getting focused on th players i will cover and whatever else is needed

6:15 p.m.
- Get full gear on and start smashing back some Full Throttle energy drinks

6:30 p.m.
- Full warm-up begin and i start getting completly focused, get a good sweat in

6:50 p.m.
- Back in the dressing room just going over different situations about the game and getting ready

7:00 p.m.
- GAME TIME!!
